Pope Francis: asks everyone to pray to the Lord to help the people in Australia at this difficult time as major fires rage the nation.   Addressing Australian speaking pilgrims, at the General Audience in St Peter’s Square, the Holy Father said “I am close to the Australian People.

Dear Parishioners.

Kathleen who has been a joyful servant to this community is retiring shortly.  Kathleen stayed on longer to help, support and guide me as your new parish priest, and for this I will be eternally grateful.

Kathleen reminds me of the two friends of Jesus.  Mary and Martha.  (Martha) She made sure that everything was prepared for the Eucharist and sat at the feet of the Lord in celebrating Mass. (Mary) She will be sadly missed.  May the Lord continue to bless her with his (Love and Presence).

Fr. Joe Connolly.
